Dark, heavy cabinets that made a bright kitchen feel small.
The owners wanted light without losing the traditional doors. We painted the raised-panel cabinets in a warm cream, replaced the old brass pulls with black ones and kept the glass fronts.
Beth patched old hardware holes and sanded the doors to a smooth surface, and the crew sprayed a durable conversion varnish so the finish handles steam and fingerprints.
The result
A kitchen that finally reads as bright and tidy, finished in five days. Care instructions: wipe with a damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners for the first month.
