Two painters on and below a tall ladder repainting red wooden siding in light gray-blue

A 1950s detached shop with red siding that was peeling in sheets.

The old oil-based paint had given up. Wyatt’s crew scraped it to sound paint, sanded the edges, primed the bare patches with a stain-blocking primer and put two coats of a flexible acrylic over everything.

The photo shows the job in the middle: the old red on one side, the new color going on the other.

The result

A shop that has been through a hailstorm since, and still looks great.

“Our 1950s shop had red siding that was peeling off in sheets. It’s been through a hailstorm and still looks great.”
