Crew Painter (interior & exterior)

Hartwell & Sons is a family painting company, and we’re adding a painter to the crew.

What you’ll do

Prep, mask, patch, prime, cut in and roll walls, ceilings and trim, and spray or brush exterior siding, with a crew lead who checks your work and teaches you what you don’t know yet. In summer you’ll be mostly outside; from November through March we’re indoors, so there’s no winter layoff.

What we’re looking for

Two or more years of residential painting, or a strong helper who’s ready to step up. A valid driver’s license, your own basic hand tools and a good eye for a straight line. You’ll be comfortable on ladders and with customers in their homes. Spanish and English are both useful on our crews.

Pay and benefits

$24 to $32 an hour, based on experience, with a raise after 90 days. Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Paid time off, health insurance after 60 days, a retirement match, tools and the uniform shirt, and paid training for lead-safe certification.
